Job Description

Responsible for providing leadership, instruction and guidance for all operational and maintenance requirements for the airport fuel facility operation (including fuel storage and fuel distribution system).

Job Responsibilities

Responsibilities:

  • Reviews reports and records to ascertain data required for planning department operations.

  • Revise and implement all quality assurance procedures as necessary ensuring all system test frequencies meet or exceed ATA 103 requirements.

  • Monitors and assesses all fuel system requirements and ensures workers and equipment are available when and where they are needed.

  • Manages inventory to ensure adequate supply is available to customers and ensures all customers maintain adequate inventory balances in the system.

  • Manage scheduled and unscheduled maintenance of equipment to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements.

  • Oversee operations safety programs to ensure compliance with Corporate and Occupational Safety & Health Administration (OSHA) requirements, including but not limited to: hazardous waste operations and emergency response (HAZWOPER), hazardous energy lockout tagout (LOTO), fall protection, heat stress, back safety, hearing conservation, etc.

  • Oversee operations environmental programs to ensure compliance with Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) requirements such as the Spill Prevention Control and Countermeasure Plans (SPCC), Storm Water Pollution Control Plans (SWPCP), etc.

  • Oversee and review audits from all internal and external agencies and coordinate responses as necessary.

  • Maintain effective relations with customers.

  • Investigate causes of accidents/incidents and recommends safety measures for preventing further occurrences.

  • Direct involvement in budgetary process for fuel system.

  • Responsible for the overall direction, coordination and evaluation of the fuel system group.

  • Carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws.

  • Other duties may be assigned

Supervisory Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of this unit. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints, resolving problems, and ensuring employees successfully complete company's training program.

Education and/or Experience:

Bachelor's degree (B.A.) from four-year College or university; or five to ten years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Pay ranges vary based on multiple factors including, without limitation, skill sets, education, shift worked, responsibilities, seniority, geographical market, merit, output, productivity, prior training or experience, travel. The pay range for this position is $ 95,000 / $115,000 yearly.
